What nails are better? Gel, acrylic, overlays or fibreglass?

Okay well, I haven't had my nails done in a very long time. The last time I got them done I think I got a full set of acrylic i.e liquid and powder system. They were brilliant and lasted for ages. I was just wondering out of the four which is best? Which looks best and which lasts the longest? ThanksWhat nails are better? Gel, acrylic, overlays or fibreglass?
Overlays arnt actual extensions, its just a layer of gel/acrylic over your own natural nail, to strengthen them. Acrylics last longer, but arnt very good for your nails, gel is alot better and has more of a shine and a 'natural' look to them, to some extent. Find a salon that uses acrygel. With this system you get the best of both, The strength of acrylic, without any damage, but the shine and durability of gel. Also if you do go for acrylic try not to go to a Vietnamese salon, they will last forever, but the use the electric buffer etc and you will fine, when you have soaked them off your natural nails will be very very thin xxWhat nails are better? I've done gel and I've also done acrylic. Gel is good because it won't ruin your nails like acrylic does BUT if you don't get your nails done every 2 weeks, the wrap can fall off. It's less likely to fall off with acrylic but they do damage your nail.
why do people answer this and say Natural Ones? that's not the question!!

Gel paint on your own nails is great %26amp; looks much more natural...but, as Brown Eyed Girl says...you need maintenance every 2-3 weeks for an infill of Gel. i have mine done all of the time...they look really lovely.
Gels are the best because they dont lift off or break easily, and they look the best the gel producess a high gloss finish which is good if you don't want to wear a nail polish.
natural nails obviously

thats the way theyre meant to be
natural ones
