Soak your fingers in acetone and gently tug little by little and continue to soak as they come off.An inexpensive way to take OFF acrylic nails?? A home way to do it?
soak them in nail polish remover. it has to contain acetone. the acetone-free stuff wont work.
You can buy a solution for like 6 or 7 bucks at Walmart, walgreens, target, etc.
It takes a while, but it won't damage your nails.
You just soak your nail in there.
soak in fingernail polish but it is going to make your skin rough. just put the tips in or soak a cotton ball
Soak them in acrylic nail polish remover. You can find this at the drug store or target or wal-mart. it's not really expensive.
There is a solution you can buy at the drugstore that will dissolve the fake nails. It looks like the nail polish remover that comes in the plastic tub with the sponge that has holes for your fingers to go in to take the polish and nails off. I think it's in the same section as the polish remover, too but I don't remember for sure because I haven't worn fake nails in over 7 years.
Haha i'm having the exact same problem RIGHT NOW!! Normally, i would use acetone, but i'm out.
You can try clipping them off, like i'm about to.. or soak your nails in a bowl of nail polish remover(works just like acetone but takes longer)
Soak your nails in a really hot bowl of a water.. and they'll become soft and easy to clip off.
gooood luck girl!
This is going to sound worse than it is but I have had them for 6 years. I take them off twice a year and I do it in the cheapest method possible. My tools are very warm water and a pin (sewing needle works well). While watching TV you can sit and find an area of the nail to gently put the head of the pin (I like to use a spot that is already lifting or the edge of where the top of your real nail connects to the underside of the acrylic, there is usually a tiny space there from where the glue doesn't initially set when the tip tries to pop off before they add the actual acrylic).
Lift the pin and slowly slide it under the fake nail. You will get the hang of your own flow after a few attempts. Keep soaking your fingers, making sure the warm water gets in between the nail and acrylic. The water softens your real nails enough to gently pry the fakes off with very minimal damage. After you have removed them all, gently buff your nails, cut any sharp edges and spend some time rubbing some good hand cream into the nail. I have used this method for years. It is uber uber cheap, and I haven't had to deal with the brittle nail syndrome that I used to get from other ways of removal. It sounds tedious, but is actually not too bad at all. Especially if you start the removal when one of them appears to be lifting on the edges.....
Eventually, the nail will just pop off. It's also a lot less drying to your skin than soaking in acetone. Hope this helps.
BITE THEM!!
soak them in acetone nail polish til they start to dissolve
You can go to a Sally's Beauty Supply and buy acetone and soak them off yourself. Acetone is very cheap!! Use a glass bowl to soak.
Sally's Beauty Supply sells pure acetone. You soak your nails and you wipe off the acrylic, and use cuticle nippers to take off the stubborn pieces. And remember to put some kind of moisturizer on your nails and cuticles.
buy a bottle of nail polish remover (about $2), pour the liquid into a something and soak your nails in that for at least 30 minutes, rub them once in a while with a cotton ball - that's what they do in the salons
soak your nails in acetone or nail polish remover but nail polish remover takes longer.
