Have your natural nails been ruined by acrylic false nails?

i just took off my first set and my nails look HORRIBLE! i figured they would look bad after but they look worse than i thought. dry, cracked %26amp; paper thin. does this happen to everyone? i will never get fake nails again. it's not worth itHave your natural nails been ruined by acrylic false nails?
Yeah, I wear them all the time.


That's why you should not put alot of glue when you put them on, just a drop.


Your nails will look ugly when you take them off, if you have the crunchy dry glue on you nails, soak it in nail polish remover.


If you get fake nails again, don't take off you nails with your fingers, let them soke in nail-polish remover.

Yea this happens to everyone that gets acrylic nails... don't worry your nails will go back to normal after time you just need to let to let the papery pieces of nail grow out, regularly trim them for a few weeks until you see your stronger nail come through, and take a break from the acrylic. If you're really worried you can use Nail Hardener that helps.
Yes, it happens to everyone who has fake nails put on. It's because they file into your natural nail bed. If you ever get them again, tell the nail tech not to file your nails too much. The last time I did that, they weren't too bad afterward. In the meantime, you can get a filler/fortifying polish to hide the dents and help your nails get back in shape.

It depends on where you go to have them done at. A bad tech will ruin your nails, not the acrylic. Go to a high end, reputable salon and you will notice a big difference. If you pay for cheap nails, you will get cheap nails.
yes.. my nails did the same.. its bttr to grow out ur nails. but i know fake nails look soo much bttr.. just keep washing ur nails and try to put nail polish remover on it daily. it will probably go away in a few days or maybe even weeks.
Yes that has happened to my everytime I have gotten them it sucks! lots of lotion and a clear stengthening coat helps but the only real solution is them growing back out healthy..which can take awhile sorry ;/
