before you take them off
* make sure *
you have nail hardener/strengthener/growth serum
seriously.
I had them and got them off and my nails have never really been prone to splitting or peeling.. but they looked a STATE when i took them off.
theyve been off for two weeks now and even with constant moisturising %26amp; applying nail strengthener they still arnt perfect :(
to take them off ..
you can soak them in hot, soapy water for about 10 minutes and gentle peel them off.
or soak them in nail varnish remover that has acetone in it and then gently peel them off.
-just remember to be patient and if they dont come off all the way straight away just soak the rest for another couple of minutes.
and remember afterwards to moisturise your hands and nails and apply
lots of special nail hardener/strengthener/growth serum..
and you should be fine !
:)How can i remove acrylic nails without going to a salon?
soak for a long time in nail polish remover and try to chip and peel offHow can i remove acrylic nails without going to a salon?
Most drugstores have acetone - it may be marked specifically as ';acrylic nail remover';. Soak them in this. Be patient - do not rip or tear the nails off. Follow up with a good cuticle and hand moisturizer, as this may dry out your skin.
Buy 100% acetone nail polish remover at any drug store. Its supercheap. Then pour some in a bowl and let your nails soak in it for about 15-20 min. It may take longer or shorter than that. Your nails should be able to come off using the right nails tools. Then remember to buff away the leftover glue.
The way my salon does it can easily be done at home. They just cut the acrylic nail short with clippers, then they use an unused acrylic nail (because it's so thin) to slide under the attached acrylic nail and the natural nail until the fake one just pops off. Then they just file off any remaining acrylic. It was amazing to see how quick and easy the process was!
